My web space was hacked, how did it happen?


If the FTP account was not compromised, a likely explanation is that
the web space was hacked using some kind of code injection attack.

Methods such as PHP injection or a RFI (remote file inclusion)
attack are used to exploit vulnerabilities in code.

One way to avoid attacks, is to make sure to keep your programs
and scripts up-to-date. Check regularly for security warnings and
make sure to install security patches as they become available.
