How to setup an Exchange account in Entourage


Please note: This documentation is created on the basis that users meet the
following criteria:
1. You must be running Apple G4 MacOS 10.2.8
2. Microsoft Entourage version 10.1.4

Entourage for Apple Macintosh can only be configured with the version 10.1.4
You can find the version number under apple menu - > Entourage in the info
window.

1. Open Entourage and click Tools -> Accounts.

2. In the Accounts window that pops up, click New and then Exchange.

3. This will open the Account Setup Assistant. At the bottom of the window click
Configure account manually.

4. A new window will appear called Edit Account. You will need to enter your details in here.

Account Name: This is what the account will be called in Entourage
Account ID: This is the Account User Name (Can be found in the Control Panel
under MS Exchange Account as exxxxxxxxx)
Password: The Password you gave when the account was created
Domain: EXCHANGE
Server: imap.exchange.1and1.com
Name: This is your name and will appear on e-mails
E-mail Address: Your e-mail address

Click OK when you have entered all your settings.

5. Next you will need to enter the SMTP Settings, Click OK on the screen that pops
up.

6. The SMTP server is smtp.exchange.1and1.com

7. Click Click here for advanced sending options and make sure that SMTP server
requires authentication is ticked. Click on OK and you should be ready to go!

Note: You can not use Outlook Exchange connection and Entourage at the same time. This will corrupt your Exchange account.
