What are e-mail aliases used for?E-mail aliases are used to set up an individual address for a person or subject to be handled under your new domain name. The e-mails are funneled to any e-mail address you choose. For example: If my real mailbox were emails are sent and received is faq@1and1.com but also wanted emails sent to tutorials@1and1.com to be delivered to my faq@1and1.com mail box I would setup the email address tutorials@1and1.com as an alias or forward to faq@1and1.com The article explaining how to setup a this up can be found here. |
