How to use Folder Preselection


To use folder preselection follow the steps below:

Folder Preselection only works with IMAP

1. Log in to the 1&1 Control Panel at: https://admin.1and1.com

If you have only one package, you will land on the Administration page.
If you have more than one package, select the relevant package to reach
its Administration page.


2. Click on the e-mail address you want to establish folder preselection for.

3. Click on the edit next to Incoming E-mail Delivery Points and select the check
box next to folder preselection if it has not already been selected and click on OK.

4. Log on to WebMail for the account.

5. Click on the mailbox.



6. Click on folder and then select New.



7. Select the check box next to mailbox and type in a folder name. You cannot put
these folders in subfolders such as your Inbox, they must be in the mailbox folder.



8. Click OK.

When you sign up for a mailing list or setting up a forward from another e-mail
address you will want to use user+foldername@domain.com
