How much is a backup?


One backup server is included with all Root and Windows Server packages at no
additional charge*. It has the capacity of the server you currently have.
For e.g: If you have Root Server II, then the FTP Backup that comes free will
have 80 GB space.

Please note: Backups are non-automated and performed only by the user,
allowing you to utilize system tools on your server or the FTP client of your
choice.

You can order additional FTP Backup Servers for $49/month. You can place the
order through the 1&1 Control Panel. The additional Backup Server has 20 GB
space.

You can save a backup of your server on this FTP-account. The backup server is a
raid-system which is backed up daily.

The transfer of data between your server and the backup system (backup servers)
does not count against your monthly quota of traffic/bandwidth and is thus
free of charge.

*Servers signed up before March 18th 2005 will not receive free FTP backup
server. Servers ordered before March 18th 2005 will have to pay $49/month for
the FTP Backup Servers(20 GB space)
